ABOUT
Michael O’Connor is a freelance audio engineer from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has worked on countless projects over the years working as producer, audio engineer, and a session player on various projects.

Before it all, Michael was a guitarist. He's played guitar since the age of 9 or 10, heavily for about 8 years until college had started. The high school show choir’s band was where he really fell in love with music, playing and listening to any genre. Here he learned the foundation of what makes a great musician and go-getter in general.
Michael started college as an Electrical Engineer, then switched to Physics and obtained his Bachelor’s Of Science. During the summers of college, Michael formed an acoustic duo with Natalie Bojrab on vocals, and played places like Three Rivers Festival among others. Through all of that he was balancing freelance audio work, working with those like Keegan Ferrell, Kelsicote, and Chris Hau and Lizzie Peirce. Recently Michael entered a mixing contest hosted and judged by Ken Lewis (credits on 104 gold/platinum records, 57 Grammy nominations, 73 #1’s, worked with artists like Eminem, BTS, Drake, etc.). Out of nearly 100 mix engineers who entered, Ken placed Michael in 3rd place, judged solely on sonics.

Michael enjoys working on acoustic, rock, country, pop, just to name a few. He really enjoys nearly every genre! He seems to be best known for his acoustic work, having a clean modern sound.

He loves working with any size band, big or small. He has the ability to record anything from a solo singer-songwriter to a full band with a horn section and drums.
Michael’s plans for music are currently to write as much as possible for music libraries while taking on as much freelance audio work as possible. He is open and seeking to work with others writing for music libraries, as well as audio engineering for prospective clients.
